Hey... So why do you think people are acting like Agatha all along is a surprise hit and not the very anticipated sequel/spin off to one of theirs best shows ? Am I actually missing something ?

because i've meticulously cureated my tumblr dash and tiktok fyp Agatha All Along was always a very anticipated project to me just like you

however sometimes the mainstream Marvel fanboy drivel escaped and from what I understand the masses of straight white boy fans didn't think Agatha was a big enough comic character to deserve her own show and thus did not understand why AAA was being made and were very vocal with their complaints that other characters deserved their own show more

and even the "hit show" comments didn't start until Rio's and Billy's identities were confirmed, because that's when the fanboys became excited because Wiccan appearing means the Young Avengers are on the way and Lady Death is their little fantasy they keep shipping with Deadpool and Thanos even now they barely mention Agatha when they praise the show or they mention her reluctantly

most publications unfortunately will only report on what the fanboys are saying on twitter

us gays have known from the start that Agatha Harkness is a star, not because of how "important" she is in the comic but because of Karhyn Hahn's talent and Jac Schaeffer's writing and we've known Rio was Death since ep 2, I mean the whole Rio not being allowed to kill and her powers being deadly was so obvious and we love her as a sapphic witch obsessed with her murderous soulmate but unfortunately we still don't constitue the majority of the fandom which is always jarring for me to remember because like i said i curated my online presence so well i always forget gays are still a minority

which is why i'm such a huge fan of Jac Schaeffer because in her interviews and podcasts she acknowledges us the gay part of the fandom she comments on what we've been saying not the straight fanboys and it's such a nice thing to not be ignored or straight up insulted

i remember not even 3 years ago Sebastian Stan was promoting Pam and Tommy and a bunch of relatively big accounts on tiktok were calling for a boycott of Stan because he acknowledged the Stucky fandom and said he thought Stucky was great and he was glad people saw that in the characters even if he didn't (which is a very lukewarm take) and people were going around tiktok saying "Sebastian Stan supports pedophilia" and I was so confused until i realized that they believe pro-shipping=supporting pedophilia somehow? like that's how the queer part of the fandom was viewed by the mcu's general audience for a long while

anyway that rant got away from me but yeah the fandom that thinks every female lead project Marvel makes is a waste of resources and bullies Brie Larson online just because the mcu universe made her character stronger than their favorite straight white boy was definitely not awaiting Agatha All Along with baited breath and fuck them honestly

I'll never understand how fandom claims to want characters who have flaws or characters who are assholes and villains, but the second one shows a flaw suddenly they're a demon and full-on villains get reduced to innocent little babies.

Like many people in Gaza, Ibrahim Mohammed and his family have lost more in a year than most people lose in a lifetime. Their home was bombed while the children were playing, injuring them, they no longer have access to education, Ibrahim lost his job and his car, family members have passed away... Ibrahim's elderly parents need operations as soon as possible, but they can't get them due to the lack of healthcare were they are. This isn't the only right they've been denied. Like I've mentioned already, the children have lost their right to education, and they don't have any drinking water. Another very important thing I should mention is that the youngest child in this family is a baby who's only a few months old. Winter is coming and they need financial aid, they are very low on funds. If you can, please donate. If you can't, then please share their campaign.
